Following the interviews and thoughtful discussion, the School Committee voted unanimously to appoint Dr. David Thomson as the Interim Superintendent of the Middleborough Public Schools, pending successful contract negotiations. If approved, Dr. Thomson is expected to begin serving in the role on July 1, 2026.

Two student playwrights win awards at the 2026 METG Monologue & 10-Minute Play Contest, competing against more than 500 entries from over 150 schools across Massachusetts.

Students from Middleborough High School continue to shine on the regional stage, earning two prestigious New England Student Production Awards (SPAs) along with three honorable mentions in the 2026 competition.
The awards highlight the exceptional work being produced by students in the school’s media and production programs, recognizing their creativity, storytelling, and technical skills across multiple categories.

Three incredible students recently presented at the Middleborough School Committee meeting, showcasing their impressive Science Fair projects! NMS had 33 projects and 44 participants at the event this year!

Middleborough Public Schools is pleased to welcome Millie, a new comfort dog who will be under the care of SRO Brian Wiksten. Millie is a five month old Yellow Lab brought to us by the Middleborough Police Department and Officer Wiksten.

Last week the NMS Unified Team went to join other Massasoit League teams for a basketball jamboree. The students played six 10-minute games. The players were very excited to play and see all their old friends and made some new ones.
