Library Expectations

Each student has a responsibility for their behavior.  The same rules apply in the library as in other areas of the school.  Students using the library are expected to:

  • Respect the space, the materials, the school staff, and each other.

  • Use a quiet voice.

  • Do not eat, drink, or chew gum in the library.

  • Be responsible for returning borrowed materials on time.

  • Use devices responsibly for school work and always adhere to the school’s Acceptable Use Policy.

  • Enjoy the library and use it often.

If a student behaves inappropriately by misusing library resources or distracting other students, a library detention may be issued. Continuous or more serious incidents will be referred to the administration.
